MEDAN — SEGARIS.CO — Unit 2 Subdit III of the North Sumatra Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate has successfully uncovered a large-scale narcotics distribution case by arresting four suspects with the initials AR, DA, SH, and JA on Sunday (11/17/2024).
The arrests were made on the Trans-Sumatra Highway, Tanjung Kasau, Indrapura District, Batubara Regency.
During the operation, officers secured evidence in the form of 54 packages of crystal methamphetamine with a total weight of 54 kilograms.
The narcotics are strongly suspected of being brought by AR from Malaysia using a ship to Batubara Regency.
After arriving in Batubara, AR was picked up by three other suspects—DA, SH, and JA—using a white Toyota Calya car.
They planned to take the illicit goods to Jakarta to be distributed.
This case is still under further investigation by the police to uncover the international drug trafficking network involved.
