GUNUNGSITOLI — SEGARIS.CO – Based on the results of PDI Perjuangan’s internal count, the candidate pair for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Gunungsitoli number 2, Sowa’a Laoli-Martinus Lase (SMART), managed to win 38,339 votes or 55.41%. Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1 won 30,858 votes or 44.59%.
In his press conference, Sowa’a Laoli accompanied by Martinus Lase, Head of the Yanto Winning Team, and Advisor to the SMART Winning Team, expressed his appreciation to the people of Gunungsitoli City for the smooth and successful implementation of the Pilkada.
“We would like to thank all the people of Gunungsitoli City for the support that has been given. Thanks to this trust, we managed to win the Pilkada,” said Sowa’a.
He also invited all elements of society to unite again after the Pilkada.
“There is no more empty one or empty two. Let’s knit togetherness and work together to build Gunungsitoli City. This city belongs to all of us,” he said.
Dominance in four sub-districts
Sowa’a explained that the SMART pair won in four of the six sub-districts in Gunungsitoli City.
In Gunungsitoli Sub-district, they won 56.30% of the vote, West Gunungsitoli 51.80%, South Gunungsitoli 59.88%, and Gunungsitoli Idanoi 61.08%.
Meanwhile, pair number 1 won in two sub-districts, namely Gunungsitoli Alo’oa with 49.51% of the vote and North Gunungsitoli with 45.53% of the vote.
However, Sowa’a emphasized that the data was still the result of internal calculations.
“We are still waiting for the official results of the vote recapitulation process at the PPK level to the Gunungsitoli City level. We hope that the entire process will run smoothly, so that the SMART pair can be officially declared the winner,” he said.
With these interim results, the SMART pair is optimistic that they can lead Gunungsitoli City and invite all parties to support joint development for the progress of the region. [Nota Lase/***]
